Albany
Albany began life as an acoustic duo based in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, during which time the foundations were laid for what was to become a long lasting song writing partnership. This has developed over the years into a genuinely exciting, melody-driven sound, balancing alternative authenticity with commercial appeal. Drawing on a range of influences encompassing Elbow, Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, Muse, Coldplay and Turin Brakes, Albany have created a unique sound. Their focus on vocal harmonies and inventive chord progressions, combined with the distinctive pairing of two lead vocalists makes for a versatile yet purposeful musical direction.
