The Hillfields
The Hillfields were born in the Royal Festival Hall, overcome by the raw power of Iggy Pop's 2007 Meltdown gig, a beautiful evening, and a choice selection of beers... The line up is Rob Boyd on guitar and vocals, Grant Wilkinson on bass and Carlos Russell on drums. Their first single was released on Cloudberry Records earlyu 2008, and they're recording songs for the first album now. Allegedly there's echoes of the Lemonheads, The Chills, The Mighty Lemon Drops with a dash of Sarah Records and C86-ness in their pop.
