Jong Pang
Jong Pang aka Anders Rhedin, is a somewhat peculiar, acutely interesting, Danish experimental indie-electro-pop producer. Once an important figure on the Scandanavian indie scene Rhedin was involved in Danish band Moon Gringo from 1999-2004. Based in Copenhagen, Rhedin left the indie scene in '05 to take some time out, turning his attention to world, folk and classical music - thus Jong Pang was born - a new project resulting in incredibly engaging leftfield pop. Typical of this day and age, Jong Pang crosses over neatly from electronic to indie terrains and first single Small Cut Sensations is a clear exhibit of his crossover appeal. Combining heady Japanese strings amidst ambience and percussive beats, Small Cut Sensations also features Tine Winther, from the band Epo-555. Rhedin plays all instruments and produces, while a splendid variety of talented Danish musicians help out in the recording studio as well as on stage.
