Sympathy State
Sympathy State were formed on the 26th of May 2007, out of playing together in Stuart Bruce's live band. As soon as they decided to form the band, they booked themselves into the studio. You can hear the results on their MySpace page. 'They do indie that is a little bit exciting, a little bit dancey. Although a flicky dance, a little bit like the one you'd do to "My Sharona", but a bit faster. The chap has a great voice too: very strong and very interesting without being annoying (I'm not so good on the Antony & The Johnsons/Brett Anderson weirdy voices, and his falls just shy of their gratingness, without losing any of their originality)' - Marsha, Xfm.
