Friendly Fires
Friendly Fires have been tipped for great things, with a string of limited releases under their belts. One of their first gigs ended up being a John Kennedy Xfm session. Their first real gig was at the Old Queen‚Äö?Ñ?¥s Head playing 'every song we knew at about 600 mph, accompanied by a looming smoke 'n' strobe show that looked like the end of fuckin' Pompei.' Formed out of the ashes of the St Albans hardcore band they formed while still at school, Friendly Fires make razor-sharp post-punk that burns through the memories of all the dismal, skinny jeaned ‚Äö?Ñ??80s revivalists you‚Äö?Ñ?¥ve been hearing these past few years.
