The Search Map formed late 2004 and since then have spent most of that time between their practice space or being cramped up at Nick and Maff's house writing songs and making noises using guitars, various samplers/drum machines, shitty keyboards, good keyboards, drums, melodica, glockenspiel, children‚Äö?Ñ?¥s toys, vocals and anything else they can get their hands on. In the last two years they have gathered together a whole load of home recordings and abandoning most of them, before first venturing into the studio in December 2005. They played their first show in February 2006 and so far have still only played a handful of shows, they‚Äö?Ñ?¥ve opened up for bands such as Subtle, Danielson and This Ain‚Äö?Ñ?¥t Vegas, as well playing the 2006 Sounds From The Other City and Futuresonic festivals.
