Softer Still
[ Galagos 077 ]

MP3: £2.49

Softer Still are an indie dream-pop band from Shepperton, Surrey consisting of wide-eyed sonic explorers Grant Williams (lead vocals/guitar), Ellie O'Shea (backing vocals/bass), Alexander Williams (guitar) and Ollie Kitson (drums).

'Forever Faces', was released on June 9th and is the second single to come from the blissed-out quartet’s second EP 'Visions Of You'. The track sees the band add electronic elements to their dream pop sound, building upon their self-titled EP which was released in November 2016, a record that attracted attention from the NME, Clash, BBC Introducing and Steve Lamacq, as well as catching the ear of American shoegazers DIIV, who invited Softer Still to support them at London's Electric Ballroom in September.

Proving that Softer Still is an act for all indie generations they also supported ‘80s janglers The Railway Children at the 100 Club. The band say that the ‘Forever Faces' is a song that 'touches on topics of complacency, regret and guilt within a once passionate relationship’. Softer Still's second EP 'Visions Of You' is set for release on 28th July, the band supported Razorlight in London on 7th June and you can catch them at several dates across the UK in August, details to be announce soon.

'Stunning new single...Anchored by a twisting guitar riff, it’s a delightfully breezy and laid-back sunbathing anthem with an undeniably catchy melody'

'Lush, beautifully composed dream pop, the Surrey newcomers are reminiscent of Beach House, Galaxie 500 or perhaps even early Wild Nothing. Chiming, emotionally gripping shoegaze with a lysergic feel.' - Clash
