It's as traditional as burst pipes, bulging waistlines and busted bank accounts, and it's heading back to kick off 2017. Every year fierce panda records joins furces with friends Club Fandango and Disorder Promotions to shake off the lost pine needles of Christmastime with a slew of new bands for the New Year under the Pandamonium banner.

Ipso facto, Pandamonium '17 runs from January 3rd to the 17th across various London venues and features excellent acts with exquisite names like Fightmilk, Wooden Arms, Man Made, Coquin Migale, Piano Wire, ALMA, A Lily, Purs, October Drift, Tear and Tall Tree 6ft Man, as you can see at www.clubfandango.co.uk/news.php?id=895 right now. Retox, not detox? Oh, go on then...

EASY KILL (onstage 10.15pm) is a four-piece alternative rock band from Manchester, England, founded in 2013 and lovingly maintained ever since by members Theo Tobias, Ronan Clowes, Alex Howes and Thomas Short. “Melancholy made catchy” is the tagline at www.facebook.com/easykillband

THE BURMA TRAIL (onstage 9.30pm) are velvety poets of the emotional shadowlands disguised as a playful four-piece rock band from North London. Singer Joseph Tennant writes with the assurance of a late Eighteenth century aesthete novelist reincarnated as a Hackney bedroom scribbler, and sets his rain-washed reflections amongst beautifully crafted valve rattling riffs and hooks. Recorded with legendary Cornish producer John Cornfield, their first single 'Achtung Heroes' is due out pre-summer. www.facebook.com/theburmatrail

SOFTER STILL (onstage 8.45pm) are an indie dream-pop band from Shepperton in Surrey. They blend the modern sound of Wild Nothing and Beach House combined with the classic old school sounds of The Cure and The Railway Children, capturing a blissful production in their garage studio. www.facebook.com/softerstillband

485C (onstage 8.00pm) are five rowdy roustabouts from East London with excellent cheekbones and cheekily raffish alt.pop sensibilities, as evidenced by current panda single ‘Strange Medicine’. www.facebook.com/485Cband
