It has been nigh on 17 months since Club Fandango took over the booking diary at the Bull & Gate. In that time new nights have been launched with scant regard for public safety, with mybandsbetterthanyourband, wegottickets, PRS, Amazing Radio, Club Killing Moon and Going Deaf For A Living all flashing the promoting knickerbocker on a regular basis. One of those not-so-new nights is brought to you by the good burghers at fierce panda and is called Bamboooozled, which is so not-so- new we STILL haven’t worked out how many ‘oooo’s should be in it yet. Bamboooooozled #4 starred the E*P*I*C stadia-stamping sounds of The Chevin and November spawns a monstrously intelligent four band stand, rather like this…

CHANNEL CAIRO (onstage 10.15pm) are five cheery sorts from London Town who met over a love of spine-tingling harmony and music that sings louder and longer than any fad or fashion, as evinced by terrific current single ‘Elephant Room’.

DINGUS KHAN (onstage 9.30pm) are seven manic personages from Manningtree, Essex. They feature three bassplayers, one grinning Gazza-a-like on vocals and a multitude of sinfully tremendous indiepunkpowerpoprock sonic blasts. With whistling. And choreographed bits. Expect a Label Fandango single early in 2012 and hold on to your brains…

BEAR CAVALRY (onstage 8.45pm) are four youngsters from Gosport, down by the southern seas. They play modern sub-tropical rhythms blended with splendid Monkeys-esque melodic power surges. They’ve been getting plays on wunnerful Radio One, too.

DEERS (onstage 8.00pm) come from Scole, up in Norfolk. They have been described as brooding, progressive and passionate, are fairly fond of Biffy Clyro and Manchester Orchestra and are working their way through a grand plan to release four great EPs in a year.
