BLACKEYE - 10.15PM
www.killingmoonlimited.com/2011/11/06/track-of-the-day-blackeye-go-home/ "BLACKEYE came to our attention following a recommendation from one of our mateys, and following further investigation we genuinely believe this to be one of those artists that is quite clearly destined to be a big deal once the music has properly surfaced – combining the aesthetic and sound gives the resulting culmination of the songwriting brilliance of Foe, the pop sensibilities of Vela and the grit-Brit guitar tones of Republica, plus an edge of punky teenage rebelliousness that no doubt will get the A&R lot very excited indeed."

CURXES - 09.30PM

"Brighton’s CURXES (pronounced “Curses”, which is the cool way of using the letter “x”) have been throwing some serious shapes our way with their new noise in the form of Creatures. Kicking off proceedings with a monster-sounding/pounding drum beat, ethereal and haunting vocals creep in like a deadly wasp through the office window."

TOM KILLS - 08.45PM

Being suckers for soft Scottish accents in any event aside, TOM KILLS delivers bitter-sweet lyrics that for us completely embody the core of complex human emotions such as regret, self-loathing and a longing to get one’s own act together for the sake of others – for us, most of the great poetry ever written dances upon those very subjects.

HOLLAND - 08.00PM

These bright young sparks – again, from our spiritual home of Brighton, which seems to be kicking ass in terms of musical exports right now – recently caused a stir with the punters of the annual SWN festival this weekend just gone, with their emotive guitar music that sounds like the perfect mix between, say, Alkaline Trio and Alt-J, or perhaps Gaslight Anthem and early-to-mid Biffy Clyro.
