It’s as traditional as poking frozen pipes, packing the rellies off back home and picking out the tinsel from the shagpile, and rest assured that fierce panda’s Pandamonium annual gig ho-ho-hoedown is back back back in January ‘18 with yet another hopeful pawful of palpitating alt.rocking talents swimming against the post-yuletide tide in a bid to rock with the masses.

And here we have details of the very third Pandamonium ’18 show…

DESPERATE JOURNALIST (onstage 10.30pm) are starting the year with this thunderously thrilling underplay, having headlined both The Scala and The Dome in 2017 as part of their ‘Grow Up’ album campaign. Rather excellently this special OBL show is accompanied by the release of a brand new single called ‘It Gets Better’ and also released on January 12th. www.facebook.com/desperatejournalist

GIANT PARTY (onstage 9.45pm) only played their first ever live show in December ’16, so these buoyant newbies have been packing in the action over the past 12 months, armed as they are with a killer combo of slick ‘80s pop wizardly and a synth-stabbing disregard for the crowd’s safety. www.facebook.com/giantpartyband

GHOSTS OF DEAD AIRPLANES (onstage 9.00pm) Combining melodic keys and vocal lines with the pure unadulterated noise of dizzying drum beats and ear bleeding guitars, GODA are a schizophrenic experience. Coming across like post-punk placed through an alt rock blender one minute, slackers on speed the next, there is a definite musical magpieism at work at here. www.facebook.com/ghostsofdeadairplanes

THE TALK SHOW (onstage 8.15pm) live in South London and make raggedly agitated artrock with darkly poetic outbursts, some say a little bit like Shambeko Say Wah!.
