Yes, churning out the tunes we are. Hot on the heel's of Misty's Big Adventure's new single 'I Can't Bring The Time Back/Serious Thing', Label Fandango has TWO new releases this week.

First up, This City, hailing from Brighton, release their debut single 'Romantic/With Loaded Guns'. This City are a band of two halves: one that is as comfortable with Bloc Party-esque blocks of jagged guitar as it is with At The Drive-In-style hectic lunges. Gigs with Biffy Clyro, As I Lay Dying, The Blackout and The Ghost Of A Thousand have honed their leftfield sonic sensibilities. A high class video made by hotshot company Nothing To See Here - purveyors of promotional visual material by personalities such as CSS, Blood Red Shoes and Juliette & The Licks can be viewed below.

And then we have South Tyneside's Freerunner, also releasing a debut single, 'She Get It/Friday, Don't Need It'. The a-side of this here release is an indiepowerpunk dancefloor thriller produced by Liam Howe, him of the Sneaker Pimps; the aa-side is self-produced ska-flavoured cerebral cheekiness, not entirely unlike The Police playing Connect Four with Prefab Sprout; and the bonus track is a tender folk-tinged ballad mixed by Stephen Power, a man who knows his way around the channels of Blur and Feeder. Such is the mightily varied opening gambit by Freerunner, and such is the sound of the youth of today.

Freerunner play Club Fandango at the Dublin Castle tomorrow (Sep 18th), with support from Far From The Dance and guest headliners, the slightly deranged They Came From The Stars I Saw Them.
