** fierce panda & Disorder return to the Shacklewell Arms **

** August 13th sees Velcro Hooks’ hooks come to Dalston **

The second Tuesday of the month is trundling towards us, which can only mean three things, one of which is that thing which sees searingly indie cheeksters fierce panda records team up with the wide-eyed scoundrels from Disorder promotions with all that new music in their hearts and all that fresh beer in their veins. And that thing looks like this…

The Thing: fierce panda & Disorder present

The Bands: VELCRO HOOKS + YOU WALK THROUGH WALLS + DUMB

The Venue: DALSTON SHACKLEWELL ARMS

The Date: TUESDAY AUGUST 13TH 2013

The Tickets: £5.00 advance from WE GOT TICKETS

VELCRO HOOKS (onstage 10.15pm) say that the faint origins of the band’s formation was spawned in the distant city of Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. Some say they played guitar fuzz note music. Others didn’t say much. Releasing material via one of our favourite labels Howling Owl, Velcro Hooks have been attracting much praise on the London scene, enthralling the kids with the dirty scuzzy garage rock sounds of ‘A Love Song For T.S. Elliot’. Go see a ton of fresh fruit get smeared over a trickle of fresh faces at

YOU WALK THROUGH WALLS (onstage 9.30pm) formed out of the ashes of South Coast shoegazing legends Air Formation. Their current ‘Destroyed Places’ EP (Club AC30) encapsulates their sonic wonderland theme, nodding as it does at the hazy heavyweight likes of Ride, Swervedriver and A Place To Bury Strangers.

DUMB (onstage 8.45pm) launched their debut single ‘Dive’ in March, thereby distinguishing themselves from the rest of what their hometown of Birmingham was offering with their Americana tinge. Influenced by Pixies and Built To Spill its bold and brash combination of swagger, slick melodies and Dylan’s rasping vocals caught the attention of NME and Radio One. Happily, new single ‘Retina’ (released on One Beat on August 12th) ups the neo-grunge ante.
