When Tim Smith of the Cardiacs suffered a heart attack (oh, the irony) a couple of years back, Ultrasound were asked to reform for a benefit concert to raise money for him. So, at the start of the new decade, the 5 members of Ultrasound met, and with 4 clicks of the sticks, arrived back home.
The decision to reform came about quickly and the band are lining up their first album since 1999's debut, with 'Play For Today' due for release this summer. This show at Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen gives fans the chance to hear the new material fully formed, with ticket holders also being treated to a free download of a new track.
