It has been nigh on 21 months since Club Fandango took over the booking diary at the Bull & Gate. In that time new nights have been launched with scant regard for public safety, with wegottickets, PRS, Amazing Radio, Club The Moon and Musicosity all flashing the promoting garter from time to time to time. One of those nowhere-new nights is brought to you by the good burghers at fierce panda and is called Bamboooozled, which despite being nowhere-new we STILL haven’t worked out how many ‘oooo’s should be in it yet. No sirreeee. Anyhoo, welcome to Bambooozled #6, which looks like this:

CANDICE GORDON (onstage 10.15pm)
is from Berlin via Dublin via South Africa and plays raucously lowslung bittersweet blues with a heart as dark as her hair. Shane MacGowan helped her out on debut album ‘Before The Sunset Ends’ and a mariachi-flavoured brass section have been known to help her out live. Her dinner parties must be dynamite… www.candicegordonmusic.com

THE TENFIVESIXTY (onstage 9.45pm)
are three sonic adventurists living in West London who caused several jaws to hit the (thankfully hoovered) Bull & Gate floor when they played their fourth show at Pandamonium in January and made an amazingly graceful noise which built from hushed beginnings to crescendonic finales without anyone being able to see the joins. Go search vimeo for their ‘Killer’s Son’ promo, and get the song for free when you join their tweet-for-a-tune campaign which ends the morning after this gig.

MAX TOTTERDELL (onstage 8.45pm)
is a self-taught singer/songwriter who has been performing in Devon pubs for 5 years. Nothing remarkable in that, you might think, until we tell you that she’s still too young to drink at the bar. 2011 saw Maz play her first London gigs and 2012 has already seen debut single ‘Counting My Fingers’ walk onto the 6Music playlist. With talk of a full band show for her album launch in April, this is a prime time opportunity to catch Maz in her natural environment, with just her voice and an acoustic guitar. Terry Wogan says she is “charming”.
We do too. www.reverbnation.com/maztotterdell

EJ (onstage 8.00pm)
is a groovy upbeat soul lady with excellent nails and Whitney Houston, Etta James and Run DMC in her facebook likes. Her exuberantly organic ‘Mama, I’m Gonna Sing’ single is heading towards us on March 11th - smell the shiny Hi Topped love over at www.facebook.com/EJDATSINGS
