London trio (Paul, Tom and Mark) formed whilst studying at university. Originally in rival bands, the group was born at a post-night-out jam with the three swapping instruments and trading ideas until they came up with their first song ‘Day & Night’. The next two years saw them developing their sound, providing an honest account of themselves and their shared musical influences – The Smiths, Mars Volta, The Beatles and The Police. Tonight sees the launch of the debut album We Shall Start The Dance on INFUSE.

All born and bred Londoners who've been close friends and musicians for nearly 15 years, bringing their individual talents forward to create Brand New Second Hand over 2 years ago. Influenced by music from the past, whilst bringing a modern and unique take in the present, the band gives an eclectic blend of live hiphop, jazz, ska, rock, reggae and punk genres dubbed 'rap an roll'. Subject matter is indicative of the well-lived and sometimes less than wholesome backgrounds shared, and the tunes are written in an ad hoc environment by all members of the group. Definitely something different.

A power trio that throw awkward syncopated 'indie vs post hardcore' grooves together with sly hooks and pop melodies to create a rousing and hearty noise. They take inspiration from and tip their collective hat to the likes of Reuben, Tubelord, The Mars Volta, Incubus & Glassjaw, among numerous other artists. They have been affectionately described by some of their contemporaries as 'The Fall of Troy kicking the Arctic Monkeys in the tits'.
