The band their first single 'Systematic' on 26th September, produced by Paul Tipler (Placebo, Idlewild). They came together in the offices of PRS for Music. Songwriters Danny and Stephen were sat together on a fateful afternoon and struck a chord with each other and found a common ground in the love they have for the same music: bands with identities and guitars. Samuel and Antoine came on board to anchor the rhythm section and the Model Society juggernaut was on it's way. The band are from London Town and make alterno-pop tunes that shimmer from the old smoke itself. They create a quintessentially British sound that captures the past and brings it bang up to date with a nod to the influences of Blur to Bloc Party and The Smiths to Stone Roses.
BOXES - 09.30PM www.amazingtunes.com/users/boxes An indie-electro-pop hailing from South East London. Boxes collides contagious melodies with messed-up synths, guitars & punching beats .... and makes melancholy feel like a warm summers day. A delicate balance of The Postal Service, Bright Eyes and The Killers.
THE CHEVIN - 08.45PM www.amazingtunes.com/users/thechevin Four young men from Otley, West Yorkshire. They consist of Coyle Girelli (vocals), Mat Steel (guitar), Jon Langford (bass) and Mal Taylor (drums). THE CHEVIN is pronounced ‘The Shev-In'. Fans of the West Yorkshire tourist board are already sure to know that The Chevin is also name of the hill which surrounds the band’s hometown.
The 'Champion' EP is THE CHEVIN’s first ever release. It features a song called 'Champion' which is insanely epic, manically widescreen, heroically uplifting and destined to soundtrack Goal Of The Month montages, X Factor breakdowns and all manner of valedictory celebrations for years to come.
