We are thrilled to announce that The Wave Pictures have rescheduled their Bull & Gate show for Friday 28 Oct 2011!

Tickets from the postponed show on 30 September will be valid, plus we have a fresh link for tickets, HERE

The event: JOHN PEEL NIGHT IN ASSOCIATION WITH TAPESTRY WITH THE WAVE PICTURES + WOLVENTRIX + COUNT ON FIRE

One of the finest bands around, a tribute to a broadcasting legend and a Tapestry night rolled into one.

For the last decade, on the last Friday of each month, TAPESTRY has championed some of the coolest bands under a church in Euston, from Field Music to The Magic Numbers, Chromehoof to Jeffery Lewis, and from Kitty Daisy and Lewis to The Wave Pictures (of course). The night moved to the Bull & Gate in July of this year.

Headliners, THE WAVE PICTURES, are returning to the Bull & Gate, following the rescheduling of their September show!

The band are David Tattersall, Franic Rozycki and Jonny 'Huddersfield' Helm. In 1998 Franic and David lived in a village called Wymeswold where they started playing music together, now with Jonny 'Huddersfield' on drums. Highlights have included playing at the Mofo Festival in Paris at the invitation of friends Herman Dune, and playing shows with Herman Dune and The Jeffrey Lewis Band. David also sang THE WAVE PICTURES song 'Dust Off Your Heart' with Herman Dune on a radio session for the great JOHN PEEL. The Wave Pictures have also served as backing band and co-songwriters for John Darnielle of The Mountain Goats, the results featuring on a seven-inch single released by 4AD records. Their new single 'In Her Kitchen' and album, 'Beer In The Breakers' is out now on MOSHI MOSHI RECORDS.

WOLVENTRIX - 09.15PM
www.wolventrix.com From London sing of lust, longing, life in a bubble and underwater parties. Swerving from passages of hushed, harmony-laden beauty to passion-filled crescendos, their imaginative sound encompasses both Syd Barrett-style acoustic whimsy and deft flashes of electronica.

"Recalling the elegant, noir-ish romance of Dog Man Star-era Suede, Wolventrix specialise in rousing acoustic indie with a hint of the gothic" - NME.com.

COUNT ON FIRE - 08.30PM

Were inspired by a love of great American Alt-Country bands such as Wilco and My Morning Jacket, and a frustration that their records and gigs never came to town. Will Odgers (vocals and guitar) and Joe Baxter (bass and backing vocals) formed Count To Fire in Spring 2006. Working together in Exeter’s Martian Records and sharing their own self-penned songs they realised that together they had what it takes to make their own musical magic.
