That‚Äôs right, people: STAMPEDE by name, STAMPEDE by nature. And now‚ĶSTAMPEDE by those cheery blighters from Club Fandango, which is a new club night thundering over the hill (Highbury Grove, since you ask) and crashing into the Buffalo Bar at Highbury & Islington corner each and every Tuesday night. Buffalo. Bar. Stampede. Mmmm. Isn‚Äôt it? As some of you may recall, September 8th 2009 saw Club Fandango‚Äôs eight year stint at the Dublin Castle come to a sad-but-sincere end. Being restless souls with festive spirits however it wasn‚Äôt long before Team Fandango were plotting further midweek distractions and the lure of the Buffalo Bar Tuesday night slot recently vacated by the esteemed Artrocker crew was simply too potent to resist. And so it is that this very week the STAMPEDE stamps its hooves like this: CLUB FANDANGO PRESENTS‚Ķ STAMPEDE!! EVERY TUESDAY HIGHBURY BUFFALO BAR (8.00PM ‚Äì LATE PM) IN ASSOCIATION WITH last.fm There will be bands. There will be banter. There will be platters that matter from resident DJ The Boy. There will be drinking into the wee small hours with the STAMPEDE doors wedged open until 2.00am or longer, if need be. There will a midnight rendezvous point for punters leaving The Garage over the road. There will be a cheery welcome at the barside for all the North London dwellers making their weary way home after a day at the A&R coalface in Kensington. And of course there will be cheap entrance from 11.00pm onwards for all those bands and music industry moguls prowling the darkened streets of N5 seeking musical enlightenment. Bringing home some familiar promoting bacon forthcoming STAMPEDE events see a Domino Records Labelled With Love one-off special, plus Trash Talk headlining a Rock Sound show, as well as appearances from the likes of Tim Ten Yen, The Dead Orchestra, Cats And Cats And Cats and many and many and many more. Lastly Fandango will be joined at the promoting hip by last.fm as our ‚Äònew media partner‚Äô to help spread the word / love and make STAMPEDE!!! a thundering success!
