Club Panda @ Club Fandango presents...

The Story: Rising like a befuddled phoenix out of the dusty ashes of oblivion Club Panda is back among us again. Many moons ago it shone a beacon of hope on the dark streets of Kentish Town. Now it sheds its light of love over the 229 venue, recent home of a Fistful Of Fandango's five night stand. People with little else to do may care to remember that since its rebirth Club Panda has already played host to the likes of Narration, Cheeky Cheeky & The Nosebleeds, New Adventures, The Ruling Class, Silhouette, The Kabeedies and Arthur. And we've only done two bloody shows! Wowsa!

Anyhoos September 24th sees the panda pop-pickers really pull out the stops for their third night back with a bill which looks something very much like this:

I LIKE TRAINS (onstage 10.00pm) used to be called iLiKETRAiNS but to the delight of listings editors and music hacks the world over have made a subtle moniker change. What other tricks might they have lurking up their uniformed sleeves? Find out at this is special lowkey one-off show from the onetime fierce panda rosterites who've staked a place in many indie romantics' hearts with impressively loud and immensely sad musical pieces about Arctic explorers and chess grandmasters and the like. We're all doomed, we say. Doomed!

TELEVISED CRIMEWAVE (onstage 9.15pm) come crawling from the wreckage of the East London experimental scene like some sort of neo-gothic nouveau wavesque sonic pop monster. Fresh from entertaining the artrocking masses at the Offset Festival, expect chills and spills a'plenty.

capital (onstage 8.30pm) are a little bit epic and a little bit intense. Ironists among you may be tickled to know that capital have no CAPITAL LETTERS in their name whatsover, but they have just released their 'Bright Lights' single on Label Fandango and they make a bouyantly radio-friendly synthrockpop noise which has been tickling the lobes of the a&r fraternity. Oh yes they have.
