Label Fandango Releases: Broken Records And Capital
11th August 2008
Artist Profile »

Label Fandango releases a new 7" single today in the form of capital - there are no capital letters in capital - a band who number five and reside in Eastbourne. Their love of The Cure, Tears For Fears and ‘Boy’-era U2 with a cannily modern radio-friendly sound saw them being chosen by BBC 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq as his Favourite New Band fully six weeks before their debut single (this one here) was released. Producer Andy Green (Keane, Scouting For Girls, The Feeling) has also contacted the band offering his services.
You can purchase it from our Label Fandango page on this here website and you can also purchase it from iTunes.

Broken Records also sees a digital release today with the vinyl hitting the shops next week. Between them they take care of guitars, bass, violin, piano, mandolin, glockenspiel, cello, trumpet, drums and, of course, the accordian. As you do when your expressed aim is to fuse traditional European folk music with the alternative sounds of young Scotland. 'Slow Parade' can be purchased from the aforementioned iTunes and those vinyl enthusiasts can pick it up from our aforementioned Label Fandango page.
