Forward, Russia! - Thursday - 1st London Gig In 10 Months
3rd December 2007
Artist Profile »

Yes that's right. iForward, Russia! are set to play their first London gig since February and it just so happens to be at Club Fandango (and, in our run-up to Xmas, another night in conjunction with BBC 6 Music). It's Thursday 6th December at The Borderline and support comes from This City and Fox Cubs.

Matt Bowman of Pigeon Detectives says you, The Kids, should go to see them. Pigeon Detectives played to about 10 people at Club Fandango in 2005. WHERE WERE YOU? Anyway, he gave us these words just the other week: "They gave us support slots really early in our career and wanted us to do well, and likewise we want them to do well. Well apart from the frantic nature of the first album, which is tenfold in the live show, I've heard a few of the new songs and they sounded bigger and better. So if anybody went to see them previously and enjoyed them, now they've got more reason with more material lined up."

So that's you told. If that's too ROCK for you then we also have the more genteel indiepop sounds of Oppenheimer at 229 the same night. They're on at 10.30pm, which is about when iForward, Russia! should be finishing... so the more hardcore of you might want a central-London jaunt to both venues - that's what we're doing. We're also trying to get to the Bis gig. Help. [Well we would've been if it hadn't just been cancelled.] Oppenheimer are supported by Captain Black, Kyte and Ghostcat.

Tickets are on sale from the usual places.
