Gran Ronde
Gran Ronde formed late 2004 in Silverlake, CA. Composed of four L.A. transplants, the band's home recorded, self produced demos and live show garnered instant attention. Since their debut gig at the Lava Lounge, located in a drug infested strip mall on the corner of Sunset and La Brea in Hollywood, Gran Ronde have performed at venues including the El Rey Theatre, Troubadour, Galaxy Theatre, Fold at Silverlake Lounge, Spaceland, The Knitting Factory, Echo and Viper Room. As their demos received airplay in Indie 103, KCRW, Q101 and XFM, Gran Ronde caught the ear of producer/mixer Mark Needham (The Killers, Fleetwood Mac, Paul Simon). During Spring 2005, Gran Ronde recorded their EP with Mark, and have since been featured in the LA Times, NME, The Weekly and Time Out NY and played shows with bands such as The Walkmen, Stellastarr, Caesars, We Are Scientists, The Golden Republic and Longwave.
