Cherry Hinton
Cherry Hinton was formed by Jo Taylor after the collapse of her previous band, Easyworld. Switching from bass to lead vocals and guitar, Jo then had a chance meeting with a like-minded soul at a Franz Ferdinand gig. This was teenager Lauren Seretny, who joined on second guitar and vocals. The backline was complete with two old (male) rehearsal room friends and Cherry Hinton was born, bringing their new fuzz-pop to the nation. Think Elastica, Blondie, The Killers and The Pixies and you're along the right lines.
