The Boyfriends are officially Lauren Laverne's third favourite new band, London four piece The Boyfriends are gaining fans and accolades at an impressive rate. Dubbed 'a checklist of greatness' by drownedinsound.com, the group have already been given airtime on Radio 1 courtesy of Steve Lamacq and earned a single of the week plaudit from Xfm's John Kennedy with the first demo they ever recorded, recently put out on a split EP by the Filthy Little Angels label.
