Familiar Creatures make up-tempo music filled with the magical trumpet lines of one-girl brass section Jessie Barnard. The vocals, sung by Irish front man, Brian Kelly, are a powerful and refreshing tonic to the overcooked sounds of the indie folk/rock scene. Despite their recent beginnings, the Creatures' curious, danceable sound has already landed them on the playlists of BBC 6 and BBC London.
