Culture Industry
Culture Industry are a London-based four piece formed in early 2002. Building on the
innovations of British art-punk and US avant rock (PiL, Joy Division,
Sonic Youth, Slint), they fuse the dread of dub with an
aesthetic of repetition derived from the Velvet Underground, Neu! and
The Fall. Put plainly, they are not your average guitar by numbers,
garage rock, new wave, bandwagon jumpers. They are pure adrenalin and
noise, mixed with angular guitars and intelligent, sometimes caustic,
lyrical observations.
