Alberteen 's debut album Metal Book is one of the most critically acclaimed albums of 2012, hailed by Louder than War as 'A work of genius' with Run Riot proclaiming them 'Your new favourite band'. The single A Girl and a Gun was playlisted on BBC6 Music and selected as one of the tracks of the year, the band also recording a session. Their sound is descibed as 'Rhythm and Noir' - shades of David Lynch soundtracks with echoes of Nick Cave and Serge Gainsbourg. .
