Citystereo
Citystereo is a nationally up and coming 5-piece pop-punk-rock band from Salisbury, Wiltshire. The band formed in February 2008, and was soon out playing all over the country with their first EP under their belt. They made an immediate impact with their live performances, and July ’08 saw CS headline at Guilfest with bands including Fightstar and Bowling For Soup, one of 5 festival appearances last summer. In August 08, CS launched a 4 track EP which has had over 5 thousand downloads to date. The band went on to feature in Kerrang! as well as other music publications, receive much radio play, and also earn critical acclaim. The year was capped as gig-goers voted City Stereo Wiltshire's Best Band at the 2008 Bass Connection Rock Awards. The early months of ’09 were spent recording their forthcoming debut album, which is set for release later this year. Despite their main efforts being put in to making a sensational record, it didn’t stop the band from continuing to grow in stature, and in March ’09 the band were selected from thousands of acts, as one of the top 12 emerging talents in the UK by a respected industry panel including Radio 1’s Huw Stephens. June ’09 saw the guys reach a new high, packing out the 1,800 capacity Queens Head Stage at Glastonbury festival 2009, confirming their ever-growing popularity, and their ability to play on the big stage. Since this, City Stereo has been chosen as support for chart stars YouMeAtSix, as they continue to go from strength to strength.
