Subliminal Girls
Subliminal Girls formed in a south London rehearsal room armed only with a synth, some pointy shoes, a school rough book full of kitchen sink drama lyrics and a small book written by Bill Drummond. Since then they have scored a top 20 indie hit and have found huge support from Artrocker, Andrew Collins, Steve Lamacq, Ian Camfield and Chris Moyles; being played on Radio 1, 6 Music, Kerrang, Xfm as well as geting video exposure in the USA and Germany. This industry support opened up the ears of artists and music lovers alike, with their previous singles becoming dance floor favourites across the country and securing them support slots with Jamie T, The Rumblestrips, Klaxons, and Babyshambles. This single, 'Self Obsession Is An Art Form', was recorded in July in a 300 year old Hop Kiln with P.I.L’s bassist Peter Jones, Engineer Lewis Childs and Produced by Les Carter (ex-Carter USM). The songs on this single detail everything close to them that was going on in and around their lives and during that weekend. Subliminal Girls are no average band and are happy to have gained an extra member in Stuart Semple.
