Dan Michaelson And The Coastguards is the singer of Absentee. His new offshoot is somewhere to go when he feels like a holiday. In Sep 07 he recorded a number of songs that were deemed 'not very Absentee' and this formed the backbone of what is now his debut album, out now on Memphis Industries.
