The Happiness
The Happiness make bi-gender amphetamine indie-rock-punk-disco. The Happiness don't restrict their sound into a realm, whatever sounds good goes. A boy girl riot of empty bottles and binge, spiked with the poetry of the city. Having supported the likes of The Kooks, Mystery Jets and The Maccabees, their performances can be boisterous occasions, always underpinned by an element of drama verging on the burlesque, as described by their producer Junk Scientist (The Rakes, Larrikin Love). A four pronged attack weaving the stage like cross-stitch, to juggernaut the current music scene. Described by Time Out as 'Pixies meets Killers with Artful Dodger up front', the theatrical feel of character and charm is strong in their performance. Seeing them you realise that The Happiness live, breathe, rehearse and share toilet paper together. Their songs being dangerously addictive, they have built a strong social scene in Brighton where fans and friends are happy to be towed along on 'a wave of anthemic songs, tuneful vocals and not a small amount of sexy'.
