Leave The Capital write songs that tell tales of heartbreak and regret, glory and ambition. Having spent the best part of the year writing and recording in their self built studio, they now return to the live arena in preparation for the release of their debut single, 'Matchsticks' through London based ORG records. The band have already attracted the attention of DJs Steve Lamacq, Huw Stephens and Jon Kennedy (Xfm), as well as record companies and publishers from both sides of the Atlantic. Whilst sharing the grand ambition of Doves and the subtle tendencies of Elbow, Leave The Capital have created a sound that is distinctly their own. Following a series of impressive live shows with the likes of Kasabian, Kaiser Chiefs and Editors they were invited to play at this year's SXSW festival, an opportunity they turned down in favour of perfecting their new material.
