Princess
Princess is the currently one-man, multi-instrumental project of Matt Grundy, also guitarist of Nottingham-based post-hardcore band The Blueprint. Finding inspiration in post-rock, hardcore, electronica and hip-hop, Princess blends heavy yet atmospheric layers of guitars and other live instruments with loops, samples and an array of electronic sounds, drawing influences from the likes of Slint, Mogwai, Neurosis, Godflesh, Envy, Squarepusher, Boom Bip, DJ Shadow, and Autechre. 'Superstructure of an Era', the debut LP from Princess was released on Field Records in summer 2006.
