Scully
Scully are a Deptford-based 3-piece, playing raw, stripped down rock and roll, with Ian Dury-esque, funny, storytelling lyrics, sounding not too unlike The Streets meet Sham 69. Their debut single, 'Who's A Terrorist Now?', was produced by Ben Hillier (Depeche Mode, Blur, Clinic). 'Terrorist' is a somewhat angular call to arms. Having been stabbed by crackheads on the tube, and feeling the boiling-point mentality of a big city, vocalist Daniel Scully simmers with talk of crime and vigilantism: 'I‚Äö?Ñ????ë?¬•m a victim of a petty crime but not for the first time‚Äö?Ñ????묨? No we‚Äö?Ñ????ë?¬•re not gonna have that, revenge with a baseball bat.'
