You Say Party! We Say Die! are from Vancouver, Canada. They consist of Becky Ninkovic (vocals), Stephen O'Shea (bass guitar), Derek Adam (guitar), Krista Loewen (keyboards) and Devon Clifford (drums). 'Monster' is the first single to be taken from their swooningly acclaimed new album 'Lose All Time', and follows the seething leftfield success of 'Hit The Floor!' (released in the UK on Sound Document in 2006). Beyond those dry home truths YOU SAY PARTY! WE SAY DIE! are a great big furry indie-punk-dance accident happening in front of our very ears. Entertainingly frothy at the front, extremely principled at the back and feverishly commercial at several points in between, 'Monster' captures a band on the rise and on top pop form. The single comes backed by a supercool video featuring singer Becky in fully Little Red Riding Hood garb and - yes indeedy - a bloody great big 'Monster'. YSP! have been spending the summer bouncing their way across their Canadian homeland, including key appearances at the V Festival in Vancouver and Toronto's NXNE hoedown. Then came a whirl of European appearances, including Glastonbury, T In The Park and Wireless. Proof that this is not a whirl without end this Dublin Castle appearance is their last in the UK for the moment. And next?
