The Silent Parade
The Silent Parade are based out of a former 19th century Mill in Ancoats – a once dark and ever so slightly satanic part of Manchester’s cotton industry past. Arriving at this point via influences as wide ranging as Aphex Twin, The Beatles, Nick Drake and The Mars Volta, it is also possible to detect more than little bit of Radiohead, Mansun, Placebo, Muse and My Vitriol, as well as shades of their Manchester compatriots Doves, Elbow and Oceansize - all slotting beautifully together to create a sound that is equal parts soothing and scorching.
