Sister formed 2 years ago, for a while they hid themselves in their rehearsal space : a squatted disused warehouse in East London, home to an artists collective and a graveyard for old industrial machines, also the scene for the ‘Satellite’ video. There they created a sound that is by turns, beautiful and explosive. Singer Gemma Banks is the sort of front woman that comes along once in a decade. She possesses one of the most distinctive and powerful voices you will hear. The band provide a spacious widescreen backdrop that is intense, stripped down rock and roll unlike anything else you will hear at the moment. SISTER want to bring a little style and glamour back into the pop scene.
