White Eskimo
White Eskimo make melodic punk-pop as indebted to The Jam’s early days and as it is Green Day, with guitars that betray their shared love of Foo Fighters. They met on a music college course and in a recording studio where their now bassist engineered what was due to be their debut EP before they scrapped it and set their sights higher. After two years with their current line-up and enough gigs under their belts to be able to bounce about on small stages, the band are at last ready to release that debut EP.

100x contains four instantly catchy, smartly structured songs mostly about girls and making mistakes, topics not necessarily unrelated. It was partly recorded at Andy McCluskey’s Motor Museum studio in Liverpool and produced by James Lewis (Rudimental, Rae Morris, Sunset Sons). Lead track 100x has a video featuring a drone filmed at Granada’s former TV studios.

White Eskimo care about hair, have differing opinions on the merits of McBusted and could give you a tip or two about farming. Though he doesn’t remember it, their skateboarding singer Will was blessed just before birth by Little Richard on his way out of the men’s room of a hotel in LA.
