Benjamin Folke Thomas started his career as the drummer in a grunge band, but his life was transformed when he heard Kurt Cobain singing 'In The Pines' on Nirvana's unplugged record. Steeping himself in Leadbelly, Bob Dylan, and Leonard Cohen, by the age of 20 he was an excellent finger-picker, confident performer, and mature songwriter.
