Jonny Cola & The A-grades have played regularly around London, from circuit standards to SE5 dives and high-profile club nights. Through the invented-for-the-purpose BBA Highland label, and with the help of Cargo Records, they have self-released two limited edition singles - “We’re All Going To Die” and “Out Of Focus” - and a mini-album. “The Yellow Mini” was praised by the underground indie press for its “headrush rock’n’roll glamour” (Planet Sound), its “endearing devil-may-care approach” (Whisperin’ & Hollerin’) and its “overwhelming sense of purpose” (Mudkiss).
With awareness spreading of the band’s exciting live shows and growing arsenal of killer tunes - not to mention a full-length album ready to go, produced by the legendary Brian O’Shaughnessy - this might just be the right moment for Jonny Cola & The A-Grades. Watch this space. Intently.
