Maria Byrne
is an Irish singer-songwriter, originally from Cork and based for the last few years in London.
Maria's sound is derived from such influences as Regina Spektor, Nina Simone, Feist and Sinead O’ Connor and her uniquely phrased lyrics are based on arguments overheard on buses, intuitive slants on affairs of the heart, and she even dares to bravely spin the lyric 'all you need is love' in a fresh direction.
Her new EP ‘All You Need’ was made with producer Karl Odlum (Gemma Hayes, Fionn Regan, David Kitt) over a few days with a few microphones in his house in Dublin. This will be available on iTunes from the 29th March 2010.
