Dactyls
Dactyls are an absolute beast of a band. Fusing elements of garage, psych and acid
rock into machine-tight arrangements, the London three-piece create a massive sound
full of brutal precision. Expect tales of sex and violence crooned over feral guitars
and gonzo drumming whilst distorted Hammond organ lines come on like the sound
of some demented fairground waltzer. Described by BBC 6 music as 'a punk band
with serious mainstream credentials', Dactyls are attracting attention with a brand of
guitar music that wants nothing to do with tired British indie. Their much anticipated
debut album, produced by The Damned's Rat Scabies, is scheduled for release early
next year.
